Yet another one of the children in office has spoken.

What sane human being threatens to blow up churches? I am as anti-religion as they come, having been know to quip that I cannot get more anti-christian without traveling backward in time with a big nail and a hammer, but blowing up churches doesn’t even cross my mind.

Have we forgotten the Geneva convention and its clauses concerning civilian targets? And yes, the terrorists do violate those clauses. Are we to become like them? We may as well take that last baby-step, right? Such is what one of our brilliant Senators has suggested.

It is difficult to believe that anyone with any sense and paying attention could not see this coming. Islamic people tend toward theocracy, religious law. This has been the case since its inception.

Now these folks have the right to form whatever government they desire, but I have to ask why we have spent so much money and blood on the project to have it come to this? The answer is that the White House, full of itself and its own power, was not paying attention or was too blinded by wishful thinking to realize that bullying an ‘american’ government into Iraq was not going to work. Tell me, what is our track record for such things?
