Kind of a dream come true

I really hope this project takes off, partly because I feel such sympathy for something I found in their FAQs.

Do you really expect to be able to detect and filter anything that’s conceivably stupid?

  • No, of course not. You’d need real AI for that, and beyond a certain point it’s simply subjective; after all, a sufficiently advanced AI would probably filter out the whole of human discourse, which isn’t the idea.

Godspeed, StupidFilter.

A Judge Gores Gore… Yee Haw!

Not too long ago a judge ruled that Gore’s ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ contains a number of errors. Of course, this ruling damns all of climate science to the limbo of fairyland, at least that is the impression one gets when reading the reactions around the blogosphere. Never mind what the scientists say.

Well, Tim Lambert at Deltoid, has taken a close look at the ruling. It isn’t all its been cracked up to be. I thought I’d pass it along.

A mind bending hypercube puzzle

This has got to be one of the coolest things I’ve ever found while wasting my time online:

4d cube

What is it? Why it is a “a fully functional four-dimensional analog of Rubik’s cube”, obviously.

There is even a 5D version of the cube, and a curiously puzzling 2d version as well.

If only I could get my paper published…

… then global warming would go away. People would see it for the sham that it is. But… whoa is me!… the man establishment global conspiracy mainstreams scientists are biased against my groundbreaking work, and they won’t publish it. They just won’t. I submit and I submit and I submit and they just won’t publish. And there are a lot more real scientists just like me. We’ve been blacklisted by the journals. We’ve been censored and suppressed. It’s not fair. Meanwhile the climate alarmists just keep on churning out bad science. And I can prove it!

I’ve jumped on the Dofollow bandwagon

And Perishable Press is responsible. Removing ‘nofollows’ from a Wordpress blog is remarkably easy to do and you needn’t install a plugin to do it, as explained in “The One-Minute Dofollow WordPress Upgrade” and in the Industrial Strength WordPress Dofollow Upgrade for those wanting that little extra. I recommend the latter. It took me less that five minutes, but I’m not a half bad WordPress hacker, though this blog is not indication of that. I haven’t done anything with it in a long time.

If ‘my word for it’ isn’t proof enough and you need to know why you ought to follow suit, take a look at Death to NoFollow.
