Bush and Cheney Arrested

Well, not really but maybe if theystop for gas in the wrong towns in Vermont. Yes, this is a symbolic gesture. It isn’t the first though.

I’d prefer we go after his boss but…

Democrats.com has a petition, which I’ve already written about in Now that the Democrats have the House… but which is worth reprinting:

I support the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney for the following reasons:

1. Violating the United Nations Charter by launching an illegal “War of Aggression” against Iraq without cause, using fraud to sell the war to Congress and the public, and misusing government funds to begin bombing without Congressional authorization.

9/11? Iraq? From the ass’s mouth

Take a peek at 01:10 to about 01:20. That isn’t the story I heard.

Jeb vs. the BBC

The video is from 2006. It isn’t new, but it isn’t really old news either, especially with another election coming.

Things to watch for in the film:

  • Telling, though circumstantial, is the reaction of Clayton Roberts to questions early in the video, about time 1:30.
  • Database Technologies, a company with ties to the Republican Party (7:25), created voter lists that were used to exclude Florida voters.
    • They were paid millions for ‘manual checking’ of names. This was never done (4:00).

I’d prefer we go after his boss but…

… I’m not complaining about this. Cheney is as good a place to start as any. Congressman Dennis Kucinich has drafted H Res 333 (PDF synopsis) outlining a case for impeaching Cheney. We’ve got to start somewhere, folks. At some point we have got to stand up or we will all fall down. We are risking the nation itself by letting these clowns stay in office.

You can’t be terrorists…

… but we can.

While the US rabidly fights its war on terror around the world, it defends its right to commit terrorist acts with equal mouth foaming furor.

The United States will not meet any request by Italy to extradite 26 Americans, most thought to be CIA agents, to stand trial over the kidnapping of a Muslim cleric, the State Department’s legal adviser said on Wednesday.

Javno - World

It may sound harsh but the United States is protecting CIA agents– 26 of them– from trail on charges for activities that are virtually everywhere, including within the United States itself. But terrorism?
