Reactions to the Candidates?

I was contacted a couple of days ago by a PhD. candidate from Stony Brook University asking if I’d help promote a survey that is to become part of a dissertation. Sure. Why not?

I’ve also been asked to disable comments on this post and I understand why, so comments are disabled for this post.

Immediately below is the official survey teaser text and a link to the survey itself.

YouTube as a Force for Democracy: Mccain

YouTube: Curious collection of mostly stupid homemade ranting, pseudoporn and general nonsense, but it is also becoming a kind of collective memory. This is unfortunate for some.

Ron Paul gets a hot endorsement

And not from Nazis either!

Actually, this one I can’t really hold against him.

Dennis Hof, owner of the Moonlite BunnyRanch near Carson City, says he was so impressed after hearing Paul at a campaign stop in Reno last week that he decided to raise money for him.

Now let’s talk about Ron Paul

My recent post about Hillary, lit a few fires. Now let’s talk about Ron Paul.

First, I haven’t always had negative things to say about Ron Paul. Actually, I haven’t had much to say about him at all, but this post, and this one, are actually positive. But that doesn’t mean I’m a Paul supporter.

[edit]
I’m adding a couple of ‘pluses’ for Paul, since some folks seem to think I’m being unfair to him. Paul wants us out of Iraq. Good for him. He wants to overturn the Patriot Act. Good for him. He wants to end the war on drugs. Also probably a good thing. But that doesn’t mean I’m a Ron Paul supporter.

Another Reason to not like Hillary

Hillary Clinton looks to be the Democratic front-runner and this annoys the hell out of me. It annoys me because Hillary plays politics like a champ and that is exactly what we don’t need coming out of the travesty of government that is the Bush administration. The nation needs leadership that will help it to regain some of the integrity that was squandered… no, that was thrown away by the current administration. The nation needs principle. It doesn’t need this:

According to a report on the Grinnell University Web site, the Clinton campaign arranged for some of the questions for the candidate to be asked by college students…
